Take That Prepare Tenth Studio Album and Extensive European Tour
The signal cuts through cleanly: according to Gary Barlow's social media update, Take That are stacking their calendar with announcements before the year closes, including a new studio album, a European tour, and a returning solo theatre run.
The current trio of Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen just finished a triumphant revival of the Circus Live tour this summer, capped by four homecoming nights at Manchester's Etihad Stadium and a string of rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
The tenth album closes in on release
In a video message to supporters titled simply "update", Barlow confirmed that Take That's tenth studio album is essentially finished and waiting in the wings. The band has already released Sweet July as a current single, and fans have heard two tracks from the project so far; the remaining ten songs, Barlow said, are locked and the release is imminent. He described the record as poppy, fresh, and good-feeling, noting that the sessions only clicked at the eleventh hour and that the band has, in his words, caught a small wave they want to ride.
Europe steps into the spotlight
For a fanbase that has waited through years of UK-focused touring, the continental push is the headline. Barlow confirmed that Take That will hit parts of Europe at the end of August, with dates running deep into next year, and he addressed the long-standing complaint among European supporters directly, acknowledging that they have often felt like an afterthought despite three decades of turning up at venues. The promised big announcement for European audiences is being positioned as the centerpiece of the band's near-term news cycle, and the framing lands as an apology wrapped in a promise.
Barlow's parallel tracks
Outside the band, Barlow confirmed that A Different Stage, the 2022 one-man confessional production that walked audiences through his life story in a single sitting and earned high praise from critics and fans, will return in some form in 2027. He also teased an entirely separate project with what he called "a good friend" that will be revealed before year's end, hinting that international travel could be on the table. The full picture emerging is a coordinated three-pronged push: record, road, and stage, all arriving in a tight window and pointing toward a packed stretch for both the trio and its frontman.
